Dealing with Anxiety w/o Medication
Anxiety attacks can be overwhelming, especially if you aren't on medication for it or it's not working. Here are some easy and practical ways to help you concur your anxiety :)

|| Take a Deep Breath ||
One of the most basic ways to combat anxiety is through breathing exercises. Convince yourself to lie down and focus on taking deep breaths, one after another. Usually, your body will follow suit and calm itself down. If it doesn't work right away, be patient; sometimes it can take a while for your body to realize nothing is wrong.

|| Focus Your Energy ||
Part of the problem with anxiety is that it can continue to worsen the longer you focus on your symptoms. Instead, try to focus your energy on some type of activity so that you can forget about the issue at hand.
Try doing some work around the house, or work on a puzzle. Reorganize your closet, or play a new video game. Anything that gets you up and around or occupies your thoughts should help alleviate your anxiety.
For some people, exercise is a good option. Keep in mind, though, that exercise will increase your heartrate; if you are already concerned about your racing heart beforehand, you may want to try a different approach so as to not push yourself further into your attack.

|| Distract Yourself ||
Along the same lines as focusing your energy, do something to distract yourself from the situation at hand! Watch a funny TV show or read an interesting book. Try to develop a daydream about something happy that you would like to experience in your life. The more you can distract yourself from how you are feeling, the more likely it is that the feeling will drift away!

|| Be Around People ||
*DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE. SOMETIMES THIS CAN MAKE IT WORSE.*
Sometimes the one thing you need when having an anxiety attack is to feel connected to another human being. If you live alone, this can be difficult to arrange. At the very least, try calling a friend. The sound of their voice may be enough to calm you down; try explaining your feelings to them to get it all off your chest. Saying it out loud might help you realize that the situation isn't so dire!
If speaking to someone isn't enough, invite them to come over and stay with you until you calm down! The feeling of being physically alone can sometimes be the root cause of an attack, and having someone nearby can send that fear away.
As a last resort, get dressed and go visit a public place. Head to the local 24 hour grocery store and do some late night shopping. If it's daytime, visit a local park and people watch.

|| Listen to Soothing Music ||
If you're trying to take deep breaths and calm down but it isn't really working, try adding some relaxing music to the mix! Put on something soothing like Enya or Norah Jones to help soften the mood. If music is too stimulating, try using a sound machine! The sound of rain on the rooftop or the waves on a beach might be just what the doctor ordered!

|| Turn on a Light ||
Occasionally, darkness can add to the tension that heightens an anxiety attack. Nighttime is often the worst time of day for someone who is prone to feeling anxious, and just being in the dark can worsen the symptoms. If that's the case for you, turn on a light!
Even as an adult, a night light can be exactly what you need to relax. Don't let anyone make you feel silly for needing one; you have to do what works for you! Using a night light is better than having an anxiety attack any day of the week

|| Get a Massage ||
If you have some extra spending money or just a willing, talented loved one, try getting a massage! This may be too obvious, but massages are the name of the game for relaxation. Plus, you get the added bonus of being near another human being! It's a win-win

|| Cut Down On Stress ||
This one is kind of a given, and it's probably the last piece of advice you wanted to see on this list. If you could cut down on your stress, you probably would've done it already! But on the off chance that something is stressing you out that you can push out of your life, you'll be that much closer to being calm on a regular basis.

|| Don't Look Up Symptoms Online ||
I can't stress this last one enough: Never, ever, ever look up your symptoms online. See an actual doctor in person if you are truly worried about your symptoms. The only thing that can possibly come from searching for information online is increased worry. You'll find out about all sorts of possible diseases that you don't have, and you'll be pushed further into the tunnel of anxiety. Don't let that happen to you! Avoid those sites at all costs.

I hope these help you :)

Love always
@casandrajean

(SN: I apologize for not being on nearly as often as I'd like, I'm currently working on the final part of my senior year and trying to get everything for college ready, juggling two tip accounts, as well as having major family issues in my personal life. I am so sorry and will try to be on more ♥)

Handy Apps! (Apple)
Hey! Samantha here! @samantha-jadee

If you have an ipod touch or an iphone, i'm sure you're always out there looking for good apps in the apple app store, so stop looking, because here are some great apps that i recommend you get!

1. Polyvore- If you didn't already know, polyvore now have their own app. It's recently been updated and now it has better features on! You can make your own set, like other sets, etc etc its great!

2. Facebook - You probably already have it, but if you don't, then get it!!

3. Twitter - You probably already have this app too, but if you don't have it then you know what to do :)

4. Tumblr - Recently been updated, now it's smoother and slicker and easier to use in general! However, if you have a data limit on an iphone and you're not using wifi, this uses up a lot of data!!

5. Instagram! - Instagram is an app where you can take photos and use a filter to enhance them, then upload them to your instagram profile, for everyone who follows you to see! It's a great way to share enhanced photos with friends, or just show the world your life in pictures :) If anyone would like to follow me then: http://instagram.com/_samanthahall_

6. Tap Studio 3 - Like guitar hero or tap tap revenge, but with LOADS of available songs to choose from your music library, made by yourself or other users around the world. It's great fun- I can just sit for hours and play it :D

7. Ultimate- Guitar Tabs - If you play guitar, drums or bass, then this app is great. You may have heard of the website ultimate-guitar.com, with all it's thousands of tabs and chords, so here is the app! It's super slick and easy to use. You can save favourite tabs to remember forever and you can play your music through the app so you can play along :)

8. Myfitnesspal - This app is good to keep track of how much you're eating, what vitamins you're taking in, how many calories, and it's perfect for keeping a diet with! Add a weight goal, and it'll tell you how many calories you should eat a day to get that goal. Add the foods and any exercise you've done during the day to see how many calories you've intaked

9. Music Stats - See some cool facts about your music library! The song you've played most and how many times you've played it, the song you've played the least, the artist you've got most songs by, your most listened to artist, and even how far a snail would go in the time you listened to your entire music library!!!

10. Play Tube - Cache youtube videos to your device and watch them anytime, anywhere!!

11. Snapchat - Take photos and send them to your friends- who can only view them for an amount of time set by you! :)

12. Flashlight - If you have a device with a camera flash, then this is perfect! Your flash works as a torch and and flashlight if put on the flashlight setting! One of the handiest apps i have! :D

I hope you get some of these apps! I'll do a part 2 sometime soon!

Love, Samantha @samantha-jadee xx

five healthy popsicle recipes (:
@justine-renae // b-eneath.tumblr.com

hello lovelies <3

summer is less than a month away! here are some healthy sweet treats for you to try(:

O1 / Yogurt bars: In a blender, whirl together one cup plain or flavored yogurt, one cup mixed summer fruit (seasonal berries, peaches, or plums), and one tablespoon honey. Pour the mixture into pop molds and freeze for three hours. Yogurt provides creaminess and zingy flavor. Plus it’s a super source of protein and calcium, and a good source of magnesium and potassium. Yogurt also contains probiotics, which are beneficial bacteria that help maintain good digestive health.

another type of yogurt bar: Yogurt pops give you the creamy satisfaction of ice cream with a lot less fat. No ice pop molds handy? No problem. Pop these simple frozen pops into standard four-ounce containers of yogurt. A couple of quick tips for these: First, cut a slit in the foil cover of each yogurt cup so you can insert the wooden stick. And when frozen, just break a carton off from the package, peel back the foil, and pop the solid yogurt out. (Running the carton under hot water will help if it sticks.).

O2 / Ice pops: These offer more thirst-quenching appeal. Combine fruit and juice to make ice pops. Simply blend together 1 cup of 100 percent juice (try mixing varieties, such as pineapple, orange, and cranberry) with 1 cup of fruit chunks (say, peaches, mango, or strawberries). Pour into pop molds and freeze for three hours. The fruit and juices provide re-energizing carbohydrates, potassium, and an array of antioxidants. Best of all? There’s no added sugar in these homemade pops, so they contain fewer calories.

O3 / Pudding pops: Perhaps the yummiest of all. Start by making your own pudding using low-fat or skim milk. Pour the pudding into a blender, add your favorite fruit, and blend. Two great combos are banana with chocolate pudding, and blueberries with vanilla pudding. Spoon into pop molds and freeze. The low-fat pudding provides protein, and is an inexpensive, delicious way to get a good dose of calcium, which can help protect against osteoporosis, high blood pressure, stroke, and possibly cancer. The fruit adds antioxidant power to the mix.

O4 / #5: Frozen Chocolate-Banana Pops. To make these, simply insert a wooden stick into peeled banana halves, dunk in chocolate sauce, roll in peanuts, and freeze. Incredible! Or dip banana halves in yogurt, then roll them in vitamin E–rich chopped almonds, and freeze.

O5 / #3: Banana-Papaya Ice Pops. For creamy, tropical fruit pops, combine puréed banana with papaya or strawberries, or use tofu and coconut to make amazing Pineapple Sherbet Pops

enjoy :D

kisses, justine

Tips for: Perfect Eyeliner
Hey Yall Zoey herreee
when i was younger i used to have the HARDEST time doing eyeliner.But now im pretty much a pro soo ;) heres my tippies

O1. press sideways with the pencil, not with the tip

O2. i think it helps too keep your elbow on a table butt other people dont so ya your decision

O3. do a thin thin line close to your eyelashes before expanding and do it all around your eye. just so you dont show any skin close to your eye

O4. Try to use not a lot of lines when your doing eyeliner. Dont lift your pencil unless your going from the top to the bottom

O5. The bottom of the eye should have more than the top. No you are not avril lavigne please dont put raccoon circles under your eyes

O6. when you have the thickness you want and want to start a wing start from the bottom and do a very small line

O7. For the top take your eyeliner and expand as far as you want but than bring it back to the small line you made. leave this unfilled so there is skin showing.

O8. then all you have to do is fill it in and then make the wing as long as you want

O9.You can also use tape if your having a hard time (i do this like all the time soo)

Heres a tutiorial who does her eyeliner the same as mine! and plus she has an a m a z i n g accent

DIY Cool-aid Lip Gloss

DIY Cool-aid Lip Gloss
Hey dolls, it's Maggie :)

iNGREDiENTS:
- 1 tub petroleum jelly (vaseline)
- 1 pkg of kool-aid drink crystals - whatever flavour you want
- a few lip gloss containers
- labels printed out on sticker paper
- scissors or 1 inch paper punch

DiRECTiONS:
O1. put about 1 cup vaseline in a microwave safe bowl

O2. heat the vaseline in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring between each heating. It took me about 7-8 minutes to melt each batch of vaseline. It will be liquid when it is fully melted. It will be very hot! Make sure you wear gloves or oven mitts and make sure children are being supervised.

O3. take out of microwave and stir in kool-aid drink crystals until desired colour is reached - I used the whole package for each batch. Stir until the crystals are completely dissolved.

O4. if starting to solidify you can heat again for another 30 seconds - skip this step if it is still liquidy

O5. pour into your lip gloss containers and leave to solidify - a couple hours

O6. repeat this whole process if making more flavours

O7. print out labels on sticker paper

O8. using either a 1 inch punch, or scissors, cut out
the circle labels and attach to your lip gloss container

O9. give to all your favourite people, but remember to save a few for yourself too!

O4. Include extra time, or margin, in your schedule.

O5. QTIP (or quit taking it personally.)

O6. Treasure people and experiences over possessions.

O7. Do what’s important and say “no” to the rest.

O8. Accept that constant change is here to stay!

O9. Remember that nothing is usually as serious as it seems at first.

1O. Do something relaxing before going to bed.
